About SWCC

General Information

SWCC is a group of dedicated cyclists who support all types of cycling related activities in the Greater Houston Area including local races and give back charitable events such as the Santa’s Sleigh Project assembling bikes for underprivileged children as well as supporting the fundraising efforts of many local cycling events, notably Kate’s Ride.

Group Pacing Guidelines

Not sure where you fit within SWCC?  Here’s a rough guideline of typical ride pacing:

  • A Group – race pace” averages approximately 22+ mph over the course of the ride; riders in this group typically make up the SWCC Race Team
  • B Group” averages approximately 20-21 mph over the course of the ride; with large groups, this group is split into smaller groups of 10-15 people for better pacelines
  • Bella & Bella Fella” average is based on the riders riding; riders in this group are typically those who are just beginning their cycling journey or those who prefer to ride at a less competitive pace

    • Socializing over post-ride crepes/paninis and coffee at CoCo Crepes Fulshear on Sundays (personal purchase)
